Meet Dianne

Serving on the Annapolis Community Health Board for five years has been a privilege and an opportunity. I was raised in Victoria Vale on the North Mountain and attended Middleton Regional High School. After getting married and I raising three boys, I decided to it was time to pursue my goal of post-secondary education and I have devoted my life’s journey to life-long learning. Wherever I found worked, I enrolled in courses. Over the last forty years I have attended eight different universities from Halifax to Prince George and earned four degrees BA, BEd, MA, and a MEd in 2010. I retired from formal teaching in 2012 and settled into my present home in Middleton.

Volunteering with the Community Health Board provides an opportunity to work with a diverse group of community serving professionals committed to improving the general health and well-being of all. My particular area of interest is housing and exploring and expanding the various options available to the citizens of Annapolis County.

Community Health Boards are an important part of the health and wellness in our communities. They work together to help improve where we live, work, play and learn! [I’m interested in] helping get more kids involved in being active and into activities and volunteering. I feel it’s important in boosting ones self-esteem when they feel like they’re part of something!
